Willow stood between us in a defensive position. I laughed at that taking her hand. Eldon rolled his eyes. "Is there at least something I can do here?" he asked impatiently. "You can wander if you want" I replied, "but I can't insure that you would like most of my memories" I added smiling while one of willows and mine intimate moments replayed around us.

I cringed at Chad's cruelness, releasing his hand, and moving away from them both. It looked like they would start fighting again. I found a tree of reasonable height, and heaved myself into it's branches with the strength of my arms alone. Then I began to climb high.

Willow pulled her hand from mine and made her way over to the closest tree. I was impressed with how easily she made it up the tall tree. "Fine I'll stay" Eldon said distracting me from my train of thought. "Good" I muttered turning my attention back to Willow.

I ignored them both completely. I wanted a better view of this place. When I was on the top branch - a solid, firm top branch, not unusual for the bizarre trees in Chad's head - I looked out. It was incredible. Mountains and rivers and a glimmering lake, high whispy clouds and tree canopies sparkling with dew. But no animals, I noticed. No bird songs, no mouse scampering, no sound but my own breathing and two men talking quietly below me.

She reached the top at record breaking time. She looked around in amazement. I smiled when I realized she was to. I went over to the tree and began to climb it. She made it look so much more easier then it was to get up. She moved so elegantly, perfectly, unlike me. I was almost half way up when a branch flew back and hit me off the tree.

I hardly noticed what Eldon was laughing at below me. I was too absorbed in the beauty of the forest. I hopped with ease from the branch I was standing on to the branch of the next tree, and for a moment all was quiet below me. I could hear them holding their breaths, waiting for me to fall. I smiled when they realized that wasn't going to happen, and I hopped onto the next tree, barely making the leaves stir.

I held my breath every time she leaped for one branch to the next. Relief washing through me every time she made it, only to be taken away again as she jumped to the next. I began following her on foot-to afraid to try climbing again. She smiled down at me when she saw me following close behind.

{What about Eldon?}
I smiled as I watched them move together, not even noticing each other. I pretended to slip, and they both jerked forward, until I laughed. I saw Chad scowl and Eldon grin. I leaped carelessly to the next tree, and then I embraced the idea of falling. Smiling, I let myself fall back, off the top branch. I fell easily, not hitting anything at all on my way down, and when I was an inch from crashing to the ground I let my already raised hands hook a branch so that my feet were dangling centimeters from the forest floor. I closed the gap gracefully, landing smoothly on my feet, still laughing at their reactions.

My worst fear was coming true. She was falling. I ran to try and catch her when she grabbed on to a lower branch so that she was dangling only centimeters from the ground. She jumped down gracefully, landing on the balls of her feet. She began laughing as I finally caught my breath. I guess I hadn't noticed that I stopped breathing, until I found it difficult to find it again.

I laughed at Chad being short of breath, and Eldon's wide eyes. It took them both a few seconds to compose themselves, which made me laugh harder. "Honestly," I was still laughing as I said it, "Chad, I'd expect by now you're used to that, and Eldon, I'd have expected that you'd have expected that from me," I raised my eyebrows and lingered on my words, as if I was accusing them to the crime of not knowing me well enough to predict my tricks.

She stared at us with accusing eyes. It made me feel incredibly guilty. When I finally realized what had just happened I ran over to her side. "Are you OK?" I asked examining her. That seemed to make her laugh even more. I looked at her, my concern expressed in my eyes.

I felt bad for laughing at him. "I'm fine, Chad, I promise." He looked unconvinced. I sighed, annoyed. He was always doing this, and it was making me guilty. "Okay," I shook his concern off, "You don't need to worry." I began to walk back to the tree, again only using my arms, and sat on a branch fairly near to the ground: So they couldn't touch me, but I could speak to them without raising my voice.
Chad looked resentful, but Eldon looked... I didn't know what word to put on it, But I had the feeling I knew what it meant:I climbed higher, taking precautions. As I predicted, Eldon smiled, hopping into the tree. Chad stayed where he was, watching wearily. As I climbed away from him, he smiled at the challenge, but I was running out of tree. I reached the top branch, and jumpe to the next tree, hanging from a branch by my hands, swinging until my feet were firmly planted on a nearby branch, knowing both men couldn't see me, hoping neither would find me. But this was chad's mind, and nothing could be hidden from him here.

I climbed as quickly as possible, hopping from branch to branch, a grin on my face. Willow was quick, and she'd be hard to find, but I somehow felt I'd find a way. I jumped into the next tree, moving as quickly as possible through the branches, looking and listening out for Willow. I finally saw her, a few trees ahead. Jumping into the air and flying, because I knew it would be faster, I landed one tree beyond where she was. "Hey, Star," I said to her, smirking.
{And... you guys know it's Eldon}

I swung around to face him. Before he could make to approach me, I backed up. Bad idea. My foot slipped, and I lost my balance for real this time, I struggled to catch a branch and only just made it. I couldn't fly yet, my wing was still too damaged. So now I was dangling with one arm on a thin branch.
